Molecular differences between pure polyurea, polyurethane and hybrids
In this infographic, you can clearly see that these membranes differ from the viewpoint of their molecular structure.

Polyureas
The pure polyurea membrane is the result of binding diisocyanates and amines, resulting in linkage of the urea. When there is also linkage of the polyol, this is considered a "hybrid" combination. However, if the only links are the result of the polyol, this is a polyurethane reaction.
